First impression was confirmed, very nice presentation of the pastries, clean and tidy. We'd love to come back

The staff is way too arrogant and unfriendly !!! They should really come down to earth !!! Their behavior today is just not the acceptable way to treat costumers !! It is a shame ! And this makes me think twice before going there even though i really like their products !!

I went there to buy a couple of cinnamon stars. The Zimtsterne at Gmeiner are in the upper price range. Let's put it this way, the most expensive so far that we have indulged in. 100g for 6.36 euros. In terms of taste, it is also one of the best. The selection for those with a sweet tooth is gigantic, there is something for everyone 👍

We were happy to get a table outside the entrance. Lots of choice, we could hardly make up our minds, everything looked terribly delicious and it was our choice too. It was a big rush, which speaks for the cafe.

One must have been there. Not just a cafe, no: the cakes and pies and everything else is just heavenly. Breakfast too. Very, very, very beautiful .. and the shop with chocolates etc. is just wonderful. Very high level. Great staff. Belongs to the best cafes in the republic.

The confectionery is in a prime location in Freiburg. The typical atmosphere of a coffee house and the seating with a view of the outside are just great, but that's about it. We visited the coffee shop with a lot of people and therefore pretty much tested the range. At first we were extremely negative about the look of the cakes. When I enter such a house, I have a certain demand for the quality and craftsmanship of a pastry chef. Here we had the impression of cakes from the assembly line. The Black Forest cake was without the typical grated chocolate, just a lot of cream ?, two floors, the competition in the area offers four floors, well soaked, ... and the price for such a disappointment is definitely not justified. If you really put your priority on cakes, you should look for another coffee. The competition is big and better.

By chance we came across this cafe while strolling and are thrilled. The service was very friendly and professional, the tested cakes and ice cream as well as the drinks were consistently delicious. The rather high price was worth the quality to us. Certainly not suitable for daily visits due to the price, but absolutely recommendable as a highlight. The cafe is modern, comfortably furnished and very clean (including the toilets). The waiting time for a seat was around 10 minutes.

I had given my e-mail address (because many local shops offer this option), but I was informed that this is not possible and that you have to give the phone number. Still, the raspberry cake was delicious.

After about 10 minutes. Waiting time was a table free. There aren't many tables, due to Corona. I opted for a fine piece of "Inpanema" cake. My partner with gluten intolerance was advised by the friendly service. And yes, the "Gmeiner" confectionery also has gluten-free baked goods. Highly recommended the "wedding cake" Thank you.

I ate here the best cheese cake in Germany. I am sure all the rest sweets and cakes are great. Coffee is also excellent. And on top of that great service.

Very cute café, beautiful, harmonious interior. The cake tasted good, but I've eaten better ones. The drink price is completely excessive. I think € 3.80 for the cappuccino is excessive.

Super delicious cakes without gelatin. That makes my vegetarian heart beat faster. I can especially recommend the sun cake. A must for every stay in Freiburg. :-)

For this amount I expected an extraordinary coffee but it was not at all the case... no taste just a lot of water

Poor service and long waiting time. After ordering the cake we waited for 20(!) minutes for the stuff to bring it. Concerning the prices the service was very poor. The taste of the cakes was ok though, but nothing special.

Average quality at insane waiting times and over the top prices. Confusing ordering system and poor waiter performance. Never again.

Delicious, but very full (Sat.) and you have to order the cake yourself at the counter on the ground floor ... This is again less comfortable and associated with queuing (because the walk-in customers shop there too).

Stopped in for a coffee and pastry as this place looked fancy. The selection of pastries was extensive. I had an apple strudel and coffee. The strudel was very tasty and the coffee was delicious. Service was pretty good and the atmosphere was very chill.

This large patisserie and café serves a wide selection of cakes and pastries. We had a delicious German cheesecake and the traditional Black Forest cake, which was not too soaked in alcohol and had a fantastic texture. Just because I am a big fan, I would have liked a few more cherries. The waiter that helped us out during our visit was very kind and took very good care of us. Despite a large event in the city, this café was busy but not overwhelmingly loud.

Over crowded, bad service, substandard food & drinks.

During our visit to Freiburg, we found this pastry shop's window by chance. We went inside and found out we were not wrong when we tasted the cake. It was quite crowded and the poor waitress was running from there to there. We liked the cranberry grape pie very much.
